need help with spy wiper, can’t get rid of it

Spy wiper has invaded my puter and I can’t get rid of it. I have windows 98 system. I went to Microsoft update and microsoft critical update and downloaded all I could but it didn’t help. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Scott, your best bet is to go to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ and post in the forum, explaining what happened. They will probably advise you to download and run HijackThis, which is here: http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/.

S/W infested my computer as soon as I had software installed to use a high speed cable modem. The ISP has been no help with removing this pushy web page from our monitor.

I too am a victim of Spy Wiper. I feel so violated and ticked off!! I have just about had it with the cd drives popping out at me everytime I get on the Internet. I also have problems with a popup inviting anyone on my computer (my 13 yr. old son!!!) to click onto porn sites. I have to assume there is a correlation between Spy Wiper and this site because they both started at the same time. I desparately need assistance in getting rid of this parasite!!! In the mean time, tell me where to complain about these dogs and I will bomb them with complaints!!!!! Thanks to anyone that can offer assistance. (I have already added Spy Sweeper, but it hasn’t helped. I also tried to change the default for my home page.)

I’ve been hijacked several times in the last week. I would love to see somebody sue these asshats. I changed my default home page, locked the settings and they have still been able to get in my computer.

I followed one of the popups to http://www.object.passthison.com, which takes you to http://www.incredifind.com. I downloaded the “uninstall” file, ran Earthlinks spyware blocker (which I had done before to no avail), reset the default web page to start.earthlink.net, deleted all cookies and temp internet files, rebooted, and it seems to have worked! Good Luck!

I’ve had it woth these bastards too! Here’s the company infoI found using the WHOIS service. I called them once and spoke with one of their CS reps and she supposedly was going to send a removal tool but never did. I think I may just have to make a trip up to LA.
